The computer lab accommodates 60 students and is equipped with 40 state-of-the-art computer systems. This lab remains open throughout the teaching hours to facilitate access and use by both faculty and students. It’s worth noting that this lab also serves as a teaching space, providing a technologically advanced environment to complement practical and theoretical learning.
CreAte Lab
In the academic year 2023-24, IGEMA launched a new initiative that promises to have a significant impact on the student community. This initiative is called “CreAte Lab,” a space dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial spirit among the institution’s students. The lab is available to students to develop and create their own business projects with the support of faculty members.
“CreAte Lab” is a space designed for university students to unleash their creativity and develop innovative ideas. The idea behind this initiative is to provide a suitable working environment and sufficient resources for students to design, develop, and present entrepreneurial projects effectively. Use of this lab requires a prior appointment, which can be requested through the university’s campus. This is done to ensure that students have access to the necessary resources to carry out their projects efficiently and to avoid conflicts between students over the use of the lab.
Additionally, students can benefit from the assistance and guidance of university faculty members, who will be available to provide advice and guidance in project development. The faculty members involved in this project are experts in various business areas, and their support will be crucial for the success of students’ projects.
The creation of “CreAte Lab” exemplifies IGEMA University’s commitment to the development and entrepreneurship of its students. This initiative provides young people with the opportunity to realize their business ideas, thereby contributing to the economic and social growth of the community.
“CreAte Lab” is excellent news for IGEMA students, who will have access to a fully equipped lab for developing entrepreneurial projects. The possibility of receiving assistance from the institution’s faculty members is a significant added value, ensuring the success of projects developed in this lab. Undoubtedly, this initiative will be a source of inspiration and motivation for university students and a valuable contribution to the economic and social development of the community.
Center for Self-Learning and Research Resources (CRAI)
IGEMA, Center for University Studies, has a Center for Self-Learning and Research Resources, known by its acronym CRAI. This space provides access to a wide variety of resources for both faculty and students. The goal of CRAI is to facilitate access to information, support knowledge generation, foster the development of cross-cutting skills, and promote autonomous work, all from an ethical perspective.
CRAI is an essential space for accessing educational resources that facilitate information retrieval, support knowledge generation, and contribute to the acquisition of cross-cutting skills.
It has a collection of books, magazines, and specialized works on various subjects.
In addition, students have the opportunity to access various databases using their credentials provided by URV, including ISOC from CSIC and Vlex, databases containing relevant information on business and legal topics. It is also noteworthy that CRAI provides access to English-language journals and articles on business and companies.
Another available source of information is free access for all staff and students to the Expansión newspaper, with three weekly editions.
