Enrollment requirements
The documentation and admission processes vary depending on the year you wish to enter and the country of origin of your previous studies. The following information will serve as a guide.
Newly admitted students
Depending on where you completed your previous studies, there are three admission categories:
Previous education in Spain
For those who have completed their studies in Spain or in Spanish institutions abroad, the pathways to enter a degree program at IGEMA include:
- University admission exam (PAU)
- Higher Vocational Training (CFGS)
- Exam for candidates over 25 or 45 years old
- Exam for candidates over 40 with relevant work experience
Education from European systems, China, or other countries with agreements with Spain
For candidates from educational systems in the EU, Switzerland, with the International Baccalaureate, or from China, it is necessary to present the credential issued by UNED, which verifies compliance with the eligibility requirements.
UNED adapts your qualifications to the Spanish system, and to obtain their credential, it is necessary to visit their website (www.uned.es). The process can be complex, but we offer assistance through our admissions department.
You will need to submit:
- Copy of ID or passport.
- Legalized photocopy of your diploma or university enrollment certificate, as well as an academic transcript of your last years of secondary education and proof of payment of the UNED fee.
- Copy of the signed credit request.
- For those from the Chinese educational system, a sworn translation into Spanish of the document is required.
Other educational systems
If your secondary studies come from an educational system other than those mentioned, you will need to have your studies recognized as equivalent to the Spanish high school diploma. This process, which can take up to 12 months, begins by requesting the legalization of your educational documentation at the embassy or consulate, and subsequently, the recognition by the Spanish Ministry of Education.
Transfer Students
The transfer conditions vary depending on whether your previous university studies were in Spain or abroad, with the following general requirements:
Students who have studied in Spain:
You must have completed at least 30 ECTS credits. You will need to present your academic certification, the application receipt for Transfer of Records, and syllabi of courses taken.
Students who have studied abroad:
You must have completed at least 30 ECTS credits and provide legalized academic documentation, either through diplomatic channels or with the Hague Apostille, in addition to course syllabi.
