Internships

Academic internships play an essential role in university education, which is why at IGEMA we are committed to helping our students in their initial contact with companies.

Academic internships play an essential role in university education, which is why at IGEMA we are committed to helping our students in their initial contact with companies. Currently, practical training is highly important to quickly adapt the knowledge acquired at university to the business reality, as the market increasingly demands well-prepared young people who can effectively use computerized management tools.

IGEMA maintains continuous contact with companies in all sectors, in addition to promoting internships in startups.

At IGEMA, we have a large database listing companies from all sectors to offer internships to students based on their profiles and motivations. Furthermore, our commitment to entrepreneurship incentivizes internships in startups in the city, allowing students to experience the processes of newly created businesses. This enables students to work in a highly stimulating, dynamic, youthful, and entrepreneurial environment through projects in which they can actively participate from start to finish.

Thanks to the flexible and creative nature of these companies, students can analyze their processes through relevant subjects they have studied or are currently studying, contributing more case studies to the classroom and enhancing synergies between the university, students, and businesses.

The objective of internships in companies, whether curricular or extracurricular, is to familiarize students with the business environment. For many, this is likely their first work experience, so at IGEMA we oversee the internship development by maintaining regular contact with the student to ensure satisfaction with the company and vice versa.

The initial contact that ADE degree students have with the working world allows them to apply their technical knowledge, enhance their competency development, and begin to build their own professional network that will benefit them in the future.

These internships take place during the fourth academic year and are conducted in public and private companies, organizations, or entities. Their objective is to complement university education and familiarize students with the business reality in which they will operate once they complete their studies.

The internships proposed by IGEMA for its students of the Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) can be extracurricular and curricular, corresponding to the voluntary internships and to the internships included in the curriculum.

International training, particularly within the framework of European Union countries, is now a highly notable differential factor for undergraduate students and future professionals in the field of business administration and management.

IGEMA offers its Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE) students the opportunity to undertake internships in European companies to complement and expand the student’s training, both linguistically and professionally.

These internships can be carried out during the summer months or during non-teaching periods.
